Sometime between June 24th and June 26th, unknown persons stole a trailer from the 700 Block of East 8th.  The trailer was an orange, 16' Belshe Trailer that was loaded with items.  The items on the trailer included a reel with 700’ of 1 ¼” orange conduit tubing for fiber optic lines and a light blue 1998 1H1 Model 20K Mini Excavator.  The total value of all the items stolen is around $12,300.

June 22, 2020

In the early morning hours of June 16th, unknown persons damaged several mailboxes on South Dixie Avenue.  It appeared that each mailbox was struck with a blunt object, as the suspects drove by in a vehicle.  8 mailboxes were damaged, totaling around $400.

June 15, 2020

Sometime between June 4th and June 7th, unknown persons stole several tires from a residence in the 800 Block of West 6th.  Four Super Swamper TSL Bogger tires with heavy tread, were taken off a vehicle and four other tires, which were spray painted black, were also stolen.  The eight tires were valued at an estimated $2,000.

On March 25, 2020, between 12:30 – 2:30 p.m., an unknown person spray painted several items in the 800 Block of West 6th.  The subject used orange spray paint and painted 8 vehicles and a fence.  The total estimated damage is around $17,000.

Sometime around the week of May 3rd, an unknown person threw a glass bottle at a camper, that was parked in the 3100 Block of West Philip.  The bottle broke a window and caused other damage to the camper.  The estimated damage to the camper was around $1000.

Burglary
April 24, 2020

Sometime between April 15 and April 19th, unknown persons entered a storage unit in the 1100 Block of East 7th.  The suspects removed the lock and stole several items from the unit.  The stolen items include a bicycle that is a replica of a 1910 Harley Davidson Motorcycle, and is equipped with a two stroke engine.  The bike is brown and silver in color, with Harley Davidson written on the gas tank.  Also stolen were various tools and three Black & Decker battery chargers.  The total loss was around $1500.

On March 29, 2020, a 6 year old black lab went missing from the 8300 Block of South Hayes.  The dog was located the next day but unfortunately, it was deceased.  It was determined that the dog had been shot in the head with a shotgun.

On March 18, 2020, an unknown person, entered a yard in the 1900 Block of West F and stole a bicycle.  The stolen bicycle is a 26” Trek 4300 mountain bike that is black in color with red and white accents.  The word “bontrager” is written on the tires in white lettering.  The bike is valued at $400.

In the overnight hours of March 2, 2020, unknown persons stole several tires off the back of two semis that were parked in the 3200 Block of South Jeffers.  The tires are Bridgestone R268 11R22.5.  8 tires with steel wheels were taken.  The estimated value is around $5,300.

In the overnight hours of February 28th, a trailer was stolen from Select Abbey Tile and Carpet at 501 East Francis.  The stolen trailer is an 18’, Temco Flatbed utility trailer with bumper hitch.  The trailer is black in color and has a wood bed with license plate, 15X2289 attached to it.  The trailer is valued at $2,000.

In the early morning hours of February 24th, unknown persons entered the east lot of Bill Summers Ford and stole several tires from two vehicles.  The suspects stole 4 Firestorm Transforce tires size 295 75/175 with Silver Rims and 4 Mastercraft mud terrain tires with black rims.  The suspects left the area in an early 2000s Pewter Chevrolet Suburban.  The total loss was around $3500.

During the evening hours of January 20th, 2020, a property in the area of O’Fallons Road & Hwy 30 was entered and burglarized. Multiple tools and other items were stolen, including a blue Makita circular saw, an electric fuel pump, and a Milwaukee hammer drill. The total loss is over $500.

During the month of October, several counterfeit bills have been passed to multiple merchants in North Platte. The counterfeit bills are real $10 bills that have been washed and reprinted as $100 bills, defeating the counterfeit pens that are commonly used. On October 10th at approximately 1230 AM, fuel was stolen from several locations in the 3700 block of South Jeffers. The fuel came from semis that were parked overnight in the area. The missing fuel is estimated to be worth over $500. The suspect semi video is posted to the Crime Stoppers Facebook page.

During the weekend of September 28th and 29th, several fences, houses, and vehicles were damaged by having windows smashed and graffiti spray painted on them. This all occurred around the 1000 block of West 4th, or in the near vicinity. The damages are going to cost our citizens several thousands of dollars in repair bills. Pictures of the damage are posted on our Facebook page.

Criminal Mischief/Impersonation
September 09, 2019

STATUS: OPEN

On September 5th, a local citizen was approached by a person claiming to be working for immigration and customs enforcement. The citizen became suspicious and the male left the area after police were called. Later that same day, between 5 PM and 7 AM September 6th, an unknown person then spray painted racial slurs on the fence of a property in the 1900 block of West A St, owned by that same citizen.
