On the morning of September 4th, the police received several reports of damaged car tires. The damage was isolated in an area on the east side of North Platte. During the night time hours, someone victimized 18 people by puncturing one or more tires on their vehicles. The vandal didn’t appear to target any one person and managed to cause over $5,000 in damage during his crime spree.

On August 18th,around 9 PM, a driver parked his semi truck in the parking lot at the Western Convenience Truck Stop in Hershey. The following morning, the driver discovered that someone removed the lock and seal from his refrigerated trailer. The trailer was full of beef and the suspect sprayed a liquid on the boxes of beef that were inside the trailer. The liquid was oily, smelled like a petroleum based product and was yellow in color. The loss was in excess of $100.000.

During the weekend of July 14th, someone broke into a service van located in the 700 block of east Francis. The thief broke out a passenger window and stole several items from inside the van. The stolen items include a Milwaukee drill, two tool bags containing miscellaneous tools, fiber optic splicer, spectrum analyzer, light meter and a laptop computer. The loss was in excess of $10,000.

Shortly after 3:00 AM on July 27th, police responded to a burglar alarm at the Westfield Pharmacy. Upon arrival, the officers found a door had been forced open. The suspect ransacked the pharmacy counter, apparently in search of money and drugs. The investigation revealed that a small amount of cash was stolen along with controlled substances in pill form.
